Our New District Park Designs Revealed

Introducing, Daybreak Park
Exciting things are on the horizon for Dawn, with the final design of the upcoming District Park revealed. Designed to be a vibrant hub for both Dawn residents and the wider Walloon community, the District Park, to be known as Daybreak Park, will become a major communal hub and heart of the thriving neighbourhood.
Comprising a plethora of new features, Daybreak Park is set to introduce a new Central Plaza to the area, featuring BBQ facilities, amenities block and covered seating areas, a new all-ages and accessible (DDA compliant) playground including smaller play equipment and swings for younger children, plus large parkland space with multipurpose goalposts for the older kids.
This exciting new addition to Walloon will also be home to a multipurpose court, lending itself to a variety of sports, and feature outdoor gym equipment and a ping pong table for sportier visitors. Daybreak Park joins the existing linear parks along the waterway and extends the walking and running paths throughout Dawn.
The facilities and features were selected in collaboration with the Local Council, taking into account both current and future community needs, as well as incorporating feedback gathered during the community consultation conducted for the Henry Lawson Bicentennial Park upgrades last year.
Upon completion, Daybreak Park will also include additional car parking for visiting friends, family and the general public to enjoy the brand-new parkland space at the heart of Dawn. Daybreak Park will be the perfect space for a picnics, birthday parties, exercise and more.
As one of Dawn’s most significant parklands, playgrounds, and community amenities, our team couldn’t be more excited to begin bringing this space to life, with work already underway!
