Did you know located only 15-minutes away from Dawn is the acclaimed Queensland Museum Rail Workshops? An award-winning venue that takes visitors on an eye-opening journey through the history of Queensland’s railway industry!

Once a workplace to over 3,000 railway workers, the Museum merges the romance of historic architecture and storytelling with modern technology to deliver a present-day educational experience unlike any other.

Including a walk through old boilershop houses, beautifully resorted locomotives, and carriages – kids and adults alike are welcome to discover the Museum which is home to a series of displays including Queensland’s largest model railway.
